OUR DESTINATIONS
One of the things that cause people to hesitate before going to new destinations is not knowing what they are going to be in for when they get there. Hopefully we can help. Charging around the world over the past 30 years in search of the elusive game fish we have been to a bunch of different places. Some were great, some were not and most were somewhere in between. Some of the places that weren’t so good wouldn’t have been bad if we knew ahead of time what to expect. We will be sharing many of our experiences with you and trying to shed a little light on the subject that might help you plan some of your future fishing trips.
Location ReviewsCasa de Campo, Dominican Republic Fishing ReportsAbout the fishing which is anywhere from good to great. During the early part of the year you can expect 6 to 8 marlin bites a day if you put in some time. Sometimes even more. The fish aren’t huge but what they don’t have in size they make up for in energy. I don’t really know how the fishing is through the summer and fall but I have no reason to think that it wouldn’t still be good. For you folks that might want to bring you own boat and stay awhile the marina is as good as any in the world. Plenty of water for the big sport fishing boats, the slips are big and the docks are stout with plenty of power. The marina area itself has virtually everything. Restaurants, condos, markets, shopping, laundry and even it’s own movie theater. If you haven’t been there plan to go. You won’t regret it. http://www.casadecampo.com.do
