Over the next few weeks and months we will be adding even more in virtually every area having to do with big game fishing. We will be including more tips and techniques (many downloadable), more information on many of fishing hotspots around the world and we will be passing on to you comments from some the world’s best big game fishing captains. |

How, when and where is the underlying theme just as it has been on our ESPN television show over the past 17 years. Speaking of television shows even though we have enjoyed our long term relationship with ESPN we are moving FOX Sports Net National in 2009. We are very excited about the move and our new time slot. You will be able to tune in to Big Game Fishing the World at 10:30 AM your time on Sundays and again at 3 PM on Wednesdays.
A new component to our site is easy access to an extensive inventory of tackle and accessories at Grand Slam Fishing Tackle. The products featured will be changing frequently so keep in touch.
I know many of you have some great fishing videos that you have taken yourself. I’d love to see them and I know a lot of other folks around the world would too, so we will provide space on our site so you can share them with rest of the world. We will be putting together an ongoing contest for the best video with quarterly winners and one “best of the year”. We are not ready to announce what the prizes will be because we don’t have all the details worked out yet but within a week or two we will and I guarantee if you like fishing you will love them.
For those of you looking for some fishing destinations you can fly your own plane to, we are putting together material that will take some of the guesswork out of planning the trip. Things like tackle, is it there or do you have to bring it? How long is the runway, do they have fuel and what about the paperwork needed to stay legal. A lot of this is just passing on information I had to chase down before I jumped in my old Cessna 310 and took off for far away places with strange sounding names. I might add going is just part of it. Coming back into the US without gathering up a military escort of fighters is a whole other issue.
